La 4è édition du Trail Les Gabizos a lieu ce samedi 28 juillet, à Arrens-Marsous. Les Esclops d’Azun, qui ont organisé les France de Montagne le 3 juin dernier, préparent encore un beau rendez-vous.
Avec une nouveauté : le parcours de la Gabizos Sky Race, avec 31 km et 2400 m+, un point haut à plus de 2 400 m au sommet du Sanctus. Passage par trois cols, deux vallées et autre beaux paysages protégés. 2 points Itra au bout du chemin.
La Tuque d’Arrens (9,5 km / 520 m+) est de retour avec ses vues sur la vallée d’Arrens et d’Estaing.
Une randonnée accompagnée et des courses enfants très disputées avec la Manu Lacroix.
Village partenaires avec marques et produits locaux, animation sur le site de départ / arrivée mais aussi au passage à Gourette (17è km). Bonne ambiance et accueil assurés !
La veille, la route sera bloquée de 12h à 17h30 entre Arras en Lavedan et Arrens-Marsous pour le passage du Tour de France. Les Esclops proposent pour ceux qui seront présents de regarder l’étape sur un écran dans la salle de fêtes puis d’assister au passage des coureurs.
Ensuite, à 18h30, rendez-vous pour un footing de veille de course avec test de matériel, chaussures et produits énergétiques.
Une belle Sky Race
D’un point de vue sportif, Nicolas Bouvier-Gaz et Andreu Prost, 2 et 3 sur le 25 km l’an dernier, seront présents. Yann Mondot également, une grande partie de l’équipe en bronze aux France de Montagne. Niko Darmaillacq (4è en 2017 sur 25 km) enchaîne les bonnes performance en skyrunning. Beziat (4è au Nid d’Aigle) sera là, également Iratzoquy, Meynet, Zanesi, Lago, Le Rohellec, Villegas (5è du marathon 2017), Faure…
Chez les femmes, Perrine Tramoni, vainqueur de la Maxi Race 2017, reviens sur ses terres d’origine. Elle aura à faire à O. Kortazar, double vainqueur de Zegama 2011 et 2012. Dinclaux victorieuse du marathon en 2017 sera solide, également Francastel (3è du marathon 2017), Gastellu, Douat, Kadioglu, Manaut etc…
Un champion de France sur la Tuque d’Arrens
Les montagnards vont découvrir Etienne Daguinos, champion de France de cross en junior, et hauteur cette année d’un joli 31’45 au 10 km. Loïc Robert en forme, défendra chèrement son titre ici… Apiou, qui est passé devant cette année sur ce format, voudra améliorer sa 2è place de l’an dernier.
Chez les femmes, Faustine Azavant et Justine Lanne, acte 2. Séparées de 3s l’an dernier, la revanche aura bien lieu. J. Lanne, 3è aux France de Montagne cadettes et sélectionnée chez les bleus, sera motivée.
La soeur d’Etienne, Juliette Daguinos, a couru en 40’49 au 10 km (espoir) cette année.
